T. bulbosa (Small)

This air plant has a very interesting appearance, its thick leaves are a very vibrant, almost neon, green color with the ends of each leaf blade fading into a much darker shade of green, while its bulbous base can range in color from silver to white. But what makes this species so interesting is the way its leaves curve and extend towards unpredictable directions as the plant grows, which look similar to the tentacles of an octopus. It then produces a large eye-catching inflorescence which consists of a scape and bracts that are bright red, and flowers that are deep violet. This is definitely a very unique and fascinating species that you can place in a certain setting or area that you would want to draw attention to.
