This air plant species has a very edgy, and sort of wild appeal. Its leaves are very thin, ending in fine tips, which make the plant appear rather pointy or spiky, and they are lettuce green in color. This air plant’s structure is also interesting because it forms an arch, and when taken into account the plant’s multiple needle-like leaves that extend out in all directions, it sort of looks like a hairy caterpillar. Then once its blooming period arrives, some of the light green leaves blush and a flower that ranges in color from sunset orange to fiery red emerges with yellow stamens in the center, a color combination that adds to the leaves’ edgy appeal. This species is one that will stand out amongst other plants, so if you’re looking for a unique, and eye-catching centerpiece, then this is definitely the plant for you.
