T. brachycaulos miniata

The Tillandsia brachycaulos miniata has long leaves of a vibrant lime green color, all of the blades growing out from the base instead of a stem. The leaves are spread out and slightly droop downwards, sometimes creating a large space in the plant’s center. Over time the lime green leaf blades blush into a very vibrant fiery red color. Then, deep violet flowers bloom out of the plant’s center, where the wide space was already created.  This species has a rather bold color scheme and can surely give any setting a striking pop of color.
