T. Flamingo Redux (aeranthos x tenuifolia)
The Tillandsia flamingo redux is a hybrid plant with the aeranthos and tenuifolia as its parent plants. It has thin elongated leaves that are straight and end in fine points. The leaves are lettuce green in color and the base that they are attached to is also rather slender. But what makes this species really interesting is its inflorescence. It grows towering slender spikes and numerous vibrant hot pink bracts that bloom lavender-colored flowers. Since the inflorescence is so tall and the bracts and flowers are all gathered together at the top, they look like explosions of color that are coming out of the plant. This piece is very bright and colorful, and will surely brighten up one’s home or garden.
