The Tillandsia tropic skye is a hybrid created with the T. aeranthos and T. gardneri meaning they are its plant parents. It has tapered leaves of a light green color that end in very fine points. The leaf blades are somewhat of uniform length and extend outwards toward every direction. The inflorescence that may bloom out of each side of the air plant displays a subtle dash of color, which is a baby pink. This species is a simple beauty; it does not stand out too much nor does it go completely unnoticed.
