T. xerographica x brachycaulos
A stunning epiphyte that is characterized by both its large size and simple yet elegant light silvery green color. The leaves are stiff, extending outwards at the base where it is wider, and curling inwards as it reaches the tip where the leaves get thinner and the curls more noticeable. The T. xerographica already looks stunning with its light green silvery leaves but with the addition of its flower, the whole plant looks like a work of art. It takes years for these plants to fully grow, but they are able to bloom large, eye-catching flowers in shades of pale violet or white, with bracts that are an orange to red color on the inside, then gradually become a yellow to green ombre towards the ends all of which perfectly compliment the leaves’ silvery tones. The colors of the leaves and the flowers do not overpower one another, but instead, accentuate all of the plant’s important features. It is the perfect centerpiece in any home or garden.
